I have asked myself sometimes Who Am I ? Why have I decided to stay in Plainfield my home town to work and live? Growing up, in Plainfield for me, is filled with warm memories from what is called the West End. For some of you that don't know me yes I am a West End Girl Clinton Elementary, Hubbard Middle School ,P.H.S Class of 1993. So 23 years after graduation I have my flagship Bakery in my small home town Plainfield, New Jersey.
I want to be more than an example, I want to be a part of my towns growth and changes for the better. We are hosting two event this Holiday Season:
One Warm Coat Drive and
Toys For Tots Drop, at both locations.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PINK-THEMED CELEBRATIONS IN CREATING BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
For those personally affected by breast cancer or who know someone who is/has suffered from one, the month of October is a very special month. October is the breast cancer awareness month and throughout the month, countless corporations run commercial and special promotions in an effort to raise awareness as well as funding to help fight breast cancer.
While many people may be under the impression that breast cancer is exclusive to women, it is also very possible for men to develop it as well although the risk is slightly lower in males than in females.
One of the biggest factor in surviving breast cancer is early detection, thus self-checks and doctors’ visits as well as mammograms are very important in detecting and surviving breast cancer. The more the topic comes up in conversations, the more widespread the awareness and is thus one major way to help defeat this disease.
For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, why not whip up an awareness party no matter how little it is, it would surely go a long way in creating awareness of breast cancer and how it could be stopped. You could whip up a selection of pink baked goods, snacks and drinks or you could even host an official Pink Ribbon party to help raise funds by inviting friends and neighbors for a pretty and pink themed party, you could offer pink-themed sweets, snacks and drinks and set out a pink-ribbon donation box where guest can donate to the cause of saving women from breast cancer.
While planning your party, take into consideration the fact that guest could be on restricted diets due to treatments and thus try to include healthy treats while still keeping to the theme of the party by serving freshfruits, vegetables etc. it is advisable to check ahead with the guests to see what’s on their restricted or favorite menu.
